…The one of Mary Pickford was taken when she was 33: kind of unsettling, honestly. She looks like a teenage doll. Anyway, there’s something about the black-and-white-ness of the pictures that adds mystery and a touch of grit. <3 <3
Never was a huge Jane Austen fan (though Mr. Darcy was pretty hot). Still, this is so neat: a box enclosing an 1863 note and Jane Austen’s ring. It seems Miss Austen wasn’t making cash like today’s successful novelists (JK Rowling, anyone?), cause the ring’s stone is made of imitation turquoise. I won’t hold it against her, though: if I found this in my attic, I’d be psyched.
